Moonee Valley Libraries is part of Libraries Victoria, a consortia consisting of 23 library services across Victoria.
You can now see items available at these libraries when you search and place requests on titles from other services. Being part of Libraries Victoria increases the volume of items available to our members to borrow, using a one-card membership system. If you have a library card from any of these library services, you are able to borrow physical items at any Libraries Victoria library using that card. You may choose to keep multiple cards, especially if you wish to use online resources from different libraries.
This also means you can choose to return or collect your items at more than 100 different library branches around the state!
Please note that each library service sets its own loan periods, rules for borrowing, and fees for overdue material. If you choose to use your card at another participating Libraries Victoria library, please be aware of the rules of the libraries that you borrow from.
Members of Moonee Valley Libraries will have first preference to the Moonee Valley collection. Please note that your 'request position', visible in the Libraries Victoria system as well as in the MVL app, is an indication of all libraries' request queues. This does not reflect accurately which position a Moonee Valley member is in for a Moonee Valley item. Please enquire from our library staff where you are in the queue.
See below for a full list of participating Library Services. For more information, visit the Libraries Victoria website.
