Warm Winter Read
The Warm Winter Read returns! This is a statewide challenge for library members to build a reading habit. As the temperature drops we want you to make time for yourself and your chosen story every day.
The challenge runs from 1 June to 31 August. Get started using the Beanstack app or pick up a Reading Journal from your library. While reading is its own reward, you’ll also go in the running to win some bookish prizes!
Throughout the season we invite you to complete little challenges along the way.
- Create a cosy reading spot
- Read aloud to a person, pet or plant
- Start a new series OR read the next book in a series you have started
- Recommend a book you love online or in person
- Listen to an audiobook while doing something else
- Read a book set somewhere you’d like to travel to
There are also Warm Winter Reads bookmarks to collect from your local library branches, featuring reading recommendations from some of Victoria’s most high profile authors, including Sally Hepworth, Tony Birch, JP Pomare, Jennifer Down, Jacinta Parsons, Chris Flynn, Alice Pung and Rob McDonald.
