#FlashbackFriday ⏳Who remembers Nunans on Puckle Street? In 1946, not long after this photograph was taken, Nunans, alongside Copolov's and Gilbertson's, were set on fire as part of what Essendon detectives thought "were deliberate attempts to cause damage to furniture stores in a narrow area in Puckle St, between Mt Alexander Rd and Margaret St, Moonee Ponds." A 15 year old boy was charged. Thankfully the damage was negligible.
