The Big Summer Read starts Sunday 1 December 2024
and registration is now open!
The Big Summer Read is a statewide reading
challenge for anyone aged 0-18 years.
How to participate:
1. Visit readbooks.com.au/bsr and register using your Moonee Valley Libraries membership
OR
Pick up a paper reading journal from one of our library branches.
2. Show us that you have registered and claim a small prize.
3. Log the books you read during December and January and
complete activities to earn badges. You must read at least ten books
in order to complete the challenge.
4. Collect swap cards featuring all the Big Summer Read author ambassadors -
including Sally Rippin, Andy Griffiths, Aunty Fay Muir and more!
5. Go in the draw to win prizes!
There are prizes to be won at statewide level* and Moonee Valley level.
*You must register online to enter the statewide draw. Paper entries will be eligible for Moonee Valley prizes only.Â
