Christmas Table Drive: give a little this festive season

Food Drive EDM (1)

During the lead up to Christmas we are taking donations of food to help individuals and families at the Helping Hands Community Pantries make Christmas Day feel that little bit more special.

This December while picking up your holiday reading, you can also drop off non-perishable food items for people in need.

This is a great opportunity for library members to give back to the community whilst also contributing to a local charity organisation supporting individuals and families who are affected by the current cost of living crisis.

We’ll be taking donations from Friday 5 December until Friday 19 December at all five of our library branches.

Suggested items:

  • Canned food
  • Rice, pasta and noodles
  • Cereals
  • Sauces, seasonings and spreads
  • Tea and coffee
  • Dental floss, toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Soap and deodorant
  • Tissues, toilet paper and nappies
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Dog and cat food

All food items must have an expiration date no earlier than June 2026.

Thank you for helping us give back to the community.
